Antonios canton Canton received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Seville in Spain in 1989. He then went on to earn his Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 1997. Before joining the University of Toronto, Canton worked as a Research Scientist at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New York, where he contributed to the development of the IBM Data Explorer, a visual data analysis tool. He also worked as a Software Engineer at the IBM European Networking Center in Heidelberg, Germany, where he developed networking software for the IBM RS/6000 workstation.
