David leff In 1998, Leff left EDF to join the Clinton Administration as the Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In this role, he helped to develop and implement a wide range of environmental policies, including regulations aimed at reducing air and water pollution, promoting energy efficiency, and protecting public health. After leaving the EPA in 2001, Leff went on to serve as the Executive Director of the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES), a nonprofit organization that works with businesses and investors to promote sustainable development. Under his leadership, CERES launched the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a widely-used framework for reporting on sustainability performance. Leff has also been active in academia, serving as a visiting professor at several universities and authoring numerous articles and books on environmental policy and management.
